Domain Rating
Ahrefs' authority score for the target domain — a quick, client-legible way to frame link-building progress over time.
Backlinks
Total inbound links Ahrefs has discovered pointing at the domain, useful for showing the raw footprint behind authority changes.
Referring domains
The count of unique domains linking in — often a better quality signal than raw backlink volume when links cluster on a few sites.

What you need before connecting

Ahrefs is connected with an API key rather than OAuth, so you need access to an Ahrefs account with API enabled on the plan, plus the key itself. You also choose the target domain for each client, which keeps multi-site clients cleanly separated — one key can serve every client, the domain is what changes per report.

Authority metrics next to outcomes

On their own, DR and backlink counts are abstract to most clients. ReportingBee lets you place them beside Search Console clicks and GA4 organic sessions, so the report reads as a story: links earned, authority moving, and what that coincided with in actual search traffic. Ahrefs data is pulled when the report refreshes, so figures are a current snapshot rather than a stale export.

What the widgets cover

ReportingBee reports the Ahrefs metrics its widgets expose — authority and link counts — it is not a keyword rank tracker and does not replicate the full Ahrefs dashboard. For day-to-day rank monitoring you would still use Ahrefs directly; the report is the client-facing summary.
