ReportingBee

KPIs

KPI reporting that starts with the objective

Every KPI needs four decisions — metric, unit, comparison, target — before it means anything. Reports that make all four explicit are reports clients trust.

From £9.99/month · Agency £49/month

What you can report on

The chosen metric
One objective per KPI — 'leads', 'organic revenue' — named in the client's language, not the tool's.
Unit and period
What the number is measured in and against what — a KPI without its comparison period is a number without a sentence.
Target and gap
What good looked like and how far off we are — the measure that turns reporting into accountability.

Objective first, metric second

KPI reports fail when they report what's measurable rather than what matters. Start from the client's objective — more leads, lower acquisition cost — then pick the metric that proxies it, and say so. A KPI chosen transparently is defensible even in a bad month.

Units and comparisons make numbers meaningful

12,000 means nothing until it's sessions, up on last month, against a 15,000 target. Every KPI widget needs its unit, its comparison period and its target visible — the three pieces of context that separate reporting from number-dumping.

Explaining the gap is the job

A KPI report that shows red without explanation generates confusion; one that shows red plus 'seasonal dip, pipeline unchanged, action: X' generates confidence. Commentary on the gap — not the number itself — is what clients pay an agency for.

How it works

  1. 01

    Agree the objectives

What does this client actually need more of? That conversation defines the KPIs.

  2. 02

    Set units, periods, targets

Configure each KPI's measurement, comparison and goal explicitly.

  3. 03

    Report the gap with context

Show target vs actual and write why — every period.

Frequently asked questions

How many KPIs should a client report?

Few enough that each gets explained — typically three to seven headline KPIs, with supporting metrics underneath.

Can targets differ per client?

Yes — targets are per client per KPI, since a good month for a local service business looks nothing like one for an ecommerce brand.

How much does ReportingBee cost?

Starter is £9.99/month for your first client and £3.99/month for each extra client, capped at ten client slots (£45.90/month). The Agency plan is £49/month flat with unlimited clients.
